When ax WiFi extenders option are expensive and limited, should I get a budget ax router instead?
Post Body

My current setup is like this:

  1. ISP fiber optics (150Mbps) to ISP's modem/router
  2. ISP's router/modem to TP-Link AX55 (AX3000) OneMesh router via short Ethernet cable (supplied in the box of AX55)
    • AX55 router connected to WiFi Mesh extender TP-Link RE305 (in my room) via OneMesh configuration
    • AX55 router connected to WiFi extender TP-Link WA855RE in the other room

The room that uses WA855RE only have about 30Mbps up and down maximum. (signal strength to AX55 is around -58 dBM)

I'm considering to improve the throughput in room 2b, so I looked at my ax router options: RE505X is around 75 bucks and D-Link E-15 Eagle pro is around 47 bucks. A TP-Link Archer AX10 router is merely 48 bucks.

Disregarding the physical size, wouldn't it be better to pick AX10 to replace the WA855RE? What other consideration I should make?

Or should I just get another RE305 (24 bucks), since that room that uses it got full 150 Mbps anyway?
