Nanoleaf essentials kind of disappointing

Finally got ahold of some nanoleaf bulbs but have to say, have not been very impressed. I have an apple tv 4k and homepod mini within 10 feet of the 3 I've setup so far and cannot get the things to keep a connection using thread. They've reverted back to bluetooth at least once every day I've had them so far, requiring me to completely rebuild my homekit network before they'd reconnect the first time. Two of them had stopped even responding to bluetooth before the rebuild.

My aqara accessories meanwhile have remained connected and responding through all of it. At this point I'm just wondering if I'll have more success using zigbee products instead. Anyone with Hue bulbs have frequent/daily issue with no response from their bulbs?

UPDATE:

The apple TV so far seems to be the cause of all my issues. Tried leaving it unplugged earlier and things reconnected and worked fine. Plugged it back in and things started dropping off again. Even the pod mini had disappeared from the home app after that. Went to the homekit settings on the AppleTV and removed it from a room and turned off it's homehub capabilities and everything is working again after restarting the mini pod.
