I’m bored with my smart home. Part of the fun of building my smart home has been installing and setting everything up. But I feel like I am hitting a plateau. I’m getting bored. I loved my smart home, but I’m running out of innovation. I have WeMo switches, caseta switches, iDevice plugs and switches, Eve and aqara contact sensors (love aqara), Hue and aqara motion sensors (which my wife and child love), a level lock (which I think has so much potential and I love).
I have my motion sensors and contact sensors set up. I have time of day and arrive home and leave home schedules set.
Most of what I have is very general scheduling and sensing. I’m curious what everyone else has done? Anything fun and different? I have homebridge set up as well, which helps me control my roomba.
I feel like I could buy so much more, but I don’t want to just endlessly spend on frivolous tech.
