Old house we just moved into, outside there's this grate/drain right off the deck. There are two electrical plugs that come out of the ground above it and plug into the outlet outside, and then a hose comes out of the ground and goes under the deck and was originally just pointing out past the deck like pictured.
The basement is finished and there's a sump pump, but it's on the complete opposite side of the house from where this grate is. Do sump pumps even have a grate or something like this outside? There's also no pipe coming into the basement from where this is by our bulkhead door.
The pictures probably don't help much but I really just don't know that this is or if the hose is supposed to just drain out on the other side of the deck. It rained a lot last week and we didn't notice it pumping anything out.
