What's wrong with my dryer??
Post Body

So we were experiencing issues with marks being left on our clothes somewhat recently after cleaning them and I began to investigate. I had recently cleaned the lint out of the dryer lint area with a vacuum and tried cleaning out the duct as best I could.

A few weeks after these events marks were appearing on our clothes. One of the loads there was a synthetic (polyester or acrylic) that was melted and a couple shirts that had melted sections in them. I also noticed probably due to that the grate was charred and had some melting looking sections on it.

I looked into the vent and a large chunk of lint was at the end of the duct and basically fell out which lead me to that causing the dryer to be hotter than normal. Cleaned that out and to prevent any leftover melted polyester getting on clothes I ordered a brand new grate inlet and replaced that as well. While I had the dryer open in back I also vacuumed out the combustion section and around all of it as best as possible.

Next load of laundry today I've run now 3 loads all at the temperature of medium or low and my girlfriend noticed the brand new grate already looks charred. I'm nervous to put more clothes in and ruin them as well but idk what else to fix about this thing?!?
