Need advice on removing tv stand and fireplace surround

So I have this giant tv stand in the corner of my house and it’s screwed into the fireplace and but I can see if it’s screwed into the wall anywhere. The only problem if I removed the tv stand that the trim on the fireplace surround won’t be even. And I’m afraid of removing the fireplace surround as I’m not sure what’s under it. I tried wiggling the fireplace surround and it all seemed like it was one piece but I’m not sure. The fireplace is gas
