Chimney Cleaning
Post Body

Hey all! First off I love this sub, much inspiration to be had.

I bought my house a little over a year and a half ago and didn't get a chance to use the chimney on first winter; I was advised it should be cleaned first and just didn't touch it.

I searched and all I could find were topics on removal and leak repair, but what about just cleaning it? Is this something I can tackle myself and if so any particular tools/tips? Or should I just call someone?

Thinking I would at least need something to catch the falling crud for easy disposal, a mask, and I see some wire brush things with extensions on google. What about the drill powered ones, are they worth it?
