Can someone confirm my Structural Engineering. Thanks in advance
Post Body

I am putting in a bump out on my house and so must install a beam to support the second floor and roof loads (fyi 50lbs snow load with 11 7/8" I-joist, 9 pitch roof truss with 8.5' spans to center roof beam). Beam is on load bearing wall and span is 15' with 5 1/2" bearing on either side (so 15' 11" total length). I am using 3 ply, 1 3/4" x 11 7/8" LVL beams from Menards (so 5 1/4" total width). Pretty sure this is OK but may need to go to 14" beams. Just need to confirm because it effects the kitchen design.
