Discovered hardwood floors but now what to do about my front door
Post Body

So I discovered I have original hardwoods in my entire home and they’re in great shape. Yay! But my front door is kinda shitty. It needs to be replaced. But before I do that I have this problem. What can I do about the bottom of it while I wait to replace it ? Would replacing it solve the issue? There’s the little seam thing (no idea what it’s called) where the carpet used to be. Pics:

Any ideas if I just need to go ahead with a door or if there’s something I can do to fix this before I change the door. The door opens but that ugly thing stays put.
