Basement flooring
Post Body

I have a house in Buffalo. My main drain in my basement backs up when we receive significant amounts of rain, but not during periods when the snow melts, thankfully. The water that comes into my basement isn't much (a small amount over an area of about 25 square feet.

What I'd like to do is use a self leveler on the floor (covering the drain obviously so that the self leveler doesn't flow down the drain), then lay dricore subflooring and a wood floor on top of that. Does my plan make sense? Am I missing anything?
