These are the external breaker boxes to an outdoor sauna. They have been disconnected (for good reason) since 2009 by the VA electrician when I bought the house.
I'm getting ready to sell the house next year, and I wanted get the sauna up and running since the structure and the internal electrics are in good shape.
The left box in the picture appears to be a big breaker that powers the electric heating element in the sauna. The right box houses the circuit breakers for line in, lighting, and thermostat (maybe).
The conduit going into the ground housed what looks like the first rendition of power, breakered in the house. The purple cut feed coming out of the right box is what the electrician cut, and was a seriously heavy duty line that was strung as a low aerial from my outside garage that has its own breaker box.
I want to yard out the two boxes and replace them with something weatherproof, and ultimately wire them up.
What do you recommend?
As far as competancy, I'm an aircraft avionics/electrician with over a decade of experience, and we don't have building codes to speak of where I live in Alaska. I can perform the work, but would prefer it to be more legit than not, thanks!
