Dishwasher conundrum
Post Body

Began installing dishwasher. For reference Iā€™m not replacing a dishwasher I had to remove a cabinet that we measured to fit new dishwasher. There was a dishwasher previously installed so I have a 2 plug outlet under the sink and a hot water side water inlet for dishwasher capped off and ready. After running cord, water inlet and drain to my garbage disposal once I pugged in my dishwasher I realized there is no power at outlet unless the switch next to sink to actuate garbage disposal is flicked. Issue being now should I remove my garbage disposal and leave switch on and dishwasher plugged in. Which case I would have to install a drain into sink plumbing because garbage disposal would be removed, or hardwire dishwasher into house power. Which I believe is above my tools and time available and would have to hire an electrician. Any input is very much appreciated and valued. TIA- young new homeowner.
