Outlet Question
Post Body

Since r/askanelectrician is under construction, I have a question. My apartment management is no use as I don’t see how this could be the case. No outlets in my sunroom will operate, including the ceiling fan, unless something is tilted/half plugged in an outlet that is on the opposite side of the wall as the sunroom. My apartment maintenance team said it means that we are over working the outlets but I don’t see how that is possible when nothing is ever plugged into them. I told them this is dangerous but they will not listen/look at it. I bought a tester and all the outlets, including the one opposite the wall all read “open hot.” What could the possibilities be that is causing this? I feel like reaching out to an electrician and just billing my apartment since they will not listen.
