So we had a storm last night and lost power. When the power came back on our fridge was fried by a power surge. We’ve since ordered surge protectors for all other appliances and electronics.
My question is, is the fridge repairable, or most likely totally fried? The previous owners bought the fridge last year and we’re 3 weeks past the warranty deadline. I don’t want to spend money on a trip fee and diagnostic fee if it’s going to be a hefty repair cost, or if it’s pointless to repair, I’d rather just put it towards a new fridge if it’s going to be more than $500. And I called Samsung for the repair where they had to open a ticket and outsource me, so I wasn’t able to speak to someone who could actually answer my questions (just a call center to schedule appointments).
Just hoping there might be some appliance repair people on here with some sage advice.
