Any help with wiring this new light switch? Slightly older home and honestly the wiring is a bit confusing.
Post Body

Any help with wiring in this new light switch?

I tried wiring in a new light switch, and for some reason that I can’t figure out… failed. The other side works fine. The right side does not, and now the plug below it also doesn’t work. For what it’s worth, I know I didn’t switch the wires. The hot is correct, and the neutral is correct.

The only thing I can think is that I accidentally pulled the exposed wire coming off the neutral from somewhere. Where would it need to go? Possibly pulled out of the wire connector with all the white wires?

New house and I’ve never seen light switches wired this way, but the house is a bit older.

Thanks!
