Basement lights in exposed ceiling
Post Body
I am painting the ceiling in the basement black and adding lights. My contractor recommended LED shop light fictures (they are longer strips) that are recessed in between the joists to be flush, and wire them to outlets in the ceiling so they can be used on light switches. But all I have ever seen in basements are can lights. Has anyone seen these types of lights done like this before? Any recommendations? He keeps telling me that can lights do not light very well because the light does not expand well.
