Pro Sales here. I saw in a /Lowes thread where a guy was upset.how he gets pulled to other departments. I really dont mind that type of thing. If mgmt bitches, i remind them of SMART (lowes) or GET (THD). What ticks me off is the "I just have a quick question" guy. If I am headed to Receiving, or checking a sku in millwork, when I get the "quick question" guy, I keep walking and reply that I'm helping another customer. I tell him/her I will be right back, and I seek them out when I'm finished. I don't care if it IS a quick question, Guy #1 deserves my attention before Guy #2. And I will do the same with Guy #2 when Guy #3 approaches. No exceptions. And I always look out for myself. I was headed to bathroom, and guy says "I need a key made". I say OK. He hands me two keys and "says I need 6 of these and 4.of these." I say, No, you gotta wait. You said "a key", not effing 10 keys. So I make him wait while I go to bathroom. But I do it with a smile.
