Everyone wants a bigger payday right? And the liability of driving the power equipment has gotten people fired for the dumbest reasons. A customer opened the gates, ran into the zone of safety. You were exhausted on freight and dropped a box from the ballymore in the middle of the night. I get it, things happen to everyone. But the company places the liability on associates not the company and rarely holds customers accountable. Give up your license, all of them. I've seen people "let them lapse" on accident. They didn't retest for power equipment again. The point I'm making is that once you do not have a license and you are still full time ask for an off cycle raise to get recertified on equipment. If they say no, dont do it. If this is one third of home depots workforce we can really put the screws to them because they are understaffed and should cave at this point
