I have a question for all you service desk folk out there.
Post Body

When calling other stores, I sometimes get transferred around to different departments when it's something the service desk does at my store. So that made me curious if I am doing more than what they are paying me for. Are you guys also responsible for these things?

In order management Customer to call tab all red and yellow and anyone with no note next to their name.

Priority tab - deal with hot notes.

Pick tab call departments to get them to pick their order or if there is 2 people at desk pick it ourselves. Also keep tabs on the future pick tab to make sure we don't sell out or watch for items coming in.

Refunds owed, call all customers for their refunds and send out abandonment letters as needed. Process refund checks if abandoned

RFL - print out the paperwork for deliveries and call customers if there is anything that needs to be addressed on their deliveries.

W/O - call to schedule deliveries, split deliveries that are not going to fit on one load, call when a delivery was attempted but not done, and call delivery employee to get order together. RFR - print it out and do an inventory in the morning and at night.

Register duties Take all returns and check outs that come up to you.

Take any check out that requires a check

Make all payments on credit cards.

Other machinary Phones - be pk certified in all departments so you can take phone calls when there are gaps.

Be able to run any machine in the store in case there are gaps. There are a couple I am dragging my feet on training on, but I can use the saws, paint mixer, cut pipe, chains, rope, wire shelves and wire. I can use the pacer, reach, op, epj, and fork lift.

Run the salter outside the store when it is icy

Take the shopping carts people abandon by the cashiers and put them away.

Reset the alarm that goes off when the cash pick up comes or when people open a door they weren't supposed to.

File dailies, delivery paper work, and recoveries

Clean, wipe everything down, empty trash, take trash to the back, sweep, and dust.

Take the rtv bin to the back when full.

That's what I can think of off the top of my head. Anything we do you guys don't? Anything you guys do that we don't?
