Hey all,
I'm an associate who aspires to seek promotion to Department Supervisor as soon as the opportunity presents itself. I've been regularly discussing my goals with supervisors/ASMs, and I do feel that most (if not all) of them are supportive of my goal and believe that I'm a solid candidate. I've also been getting some great advice from posts about advancement on this sub, so thanks for those.
Right now I'm hoping you guys can tell me about Home Depot's "leadership training" for future supervisors. I've heard a bit about it on here and from other associates, but not anything concrete.
What exactly is the training? What does it cover?
Is the training accessible via MyApron without being enrolled by a supervisor, or will I need to be enrolled?
My main question: If enrollment is necessary, do you recommend that I ask my ASM about enrolling me, or is it something that I have to be selected for "when the time is right?"
Thanks for any answers you can toss my way, and if you have a moment I'd always appreciate general advice about pursuing advancement in the short-term.
