So I’ve been working at Home Depot for about 3 weeks now as a pro associate and I’ve been really enjoying it. My coworkers are cool and most people from the other departments are nice and friendly. However it’s been almost daily of being disrespected or targeted by the ASMs. Me and other pro associate started at the same time were yelled at for talking with each other and waiting for customers to come to us. Mind you the store was dead with no one near us. She got up and yelled “I don’t pay you to stand around and do nothing. Go outside and push carts!” First she doesn’t pay us and second we aren’t lot associates so we don’t get paid to do that either. Also they had 3 lot associates already working but had us go leaving the pro desk empty. I guess I have 3 strikes for checking the time on my phone from another manger even though one strike was on my FIRST DAY! Other she was off the clock and the third there was another associate using their phone not even 4 feet away from me. She also threaten termination because I had the dewalt earbuds around my neck not in my ear even tho I’ve seen like 10 different people with them who work in lumber, shipping, loading, and drive forks lifts. I’m a glorified cashier I’m not getting ran over at the pro desk and it’s not like I even had them in my ear they were around my neck. I only use them if I’m on break or at a desk. My and my coworkers have been called away from the pro desk on multiple occasions and feel targeted. Me and my coworker are new and still need a little coaching which they seem reluctant to give and when they do to talk to us like we’re stupid of like we’re a problem. This is all on camera with a witness present and I’m ready to talk to HR but everyday it’s more issues and dirt I get.
