Today is my last day since I submitted my 2 weeks notice after being repeatedly forgotten. A short list-

-Promised promotions that I never received -Promised two homer awards and despite my manager saying they submitted them I never got them -didn’t get a 1 year badge or put on the break room screen -my store does candy for birthdays yet nothing on mine -when we get a survey that says our name we get a pin and taco, I got my pin but when time came round for them to take taco orders I was again forgotten. Wanna know where I was? Doing a side favor for the manager who’s in charge of tacos painting a sign for them.

Now today on my final day. I expected the minimum. Something I’ve seen everyone I have known here get. My old friend who worked here for maybe 2-3 months even got it.

The signing apron in the break room. I had hoped at least for the send off I’ve seen so many get.

Nope. I walk in and there is nothing. In my store managers are in charge of setting it out 2-3 days prior so everyone can sign it and sadly once again I’m forgotten.

I understand I’m not the most amazing coworker to work with. I’d just hoped for the minimum. I get along well with everyone besides the store manager and thought I was likable enough but still.

It hurts a bit but helps me understand why im leaving.
