I’m quitting in a month and I’m excited to go
Post Body

I’ve been at HD for a year and some months. I’ve learned 5-6 departments and tried to learn more. I’ve done every task assigned to me and used to try and work as much as possible. I’ve been trying to move up through the ranks and I was told that to do that I had to do this extra training and make a blueprint. I did that. I was promised an interview that i did not get to do and the position was given to an associate who’d been there for 2 months who’d never held a higher position. I continue the training and despite getting ignored in small ways I still spoke so highly of the company (small ways being no name on the anniversary slide on the tv in the break room, no acknowledgment of being an infocus allstar and in my store you get a star and tacos for Surveys, while I was painting a sign because my managers asked, they forgot to ask what taco I wanted and I got nothing) I don’t care about the things in specific just that I was forgotten. I’ve been promised two Homer awards and received none. Now after interviewing for two more positions I’ve been working for I am once again denied both. I’ve done everything right, it just doesn’t matter. I am quitting at the end of the month and can’t wait to kiss this place goodbye. I’m never recommending Home Depot to anyone again. I have asked for full time, been denied and had people hired in the spots I asked for as regular full time associates. My availability is wide open.
