Need a creative idea to fix my floor
Post Body

So basically I've decided to remove the stone/concrete wall plateau that you see in the pictures below. I just bought the place, and I don't like it. Removing the plateau means removing some of the flooring around it, too. I'm contemplating keeping my current wooden floor intact as much as possible. But that's going to leave a bare strip. Can anyone think of something creative to fix it back up? The original boards aren't available anymore. Maybe something like a strip of natural stone/marble that continues into the wall?

I guess I'm just looking for something creative and stylish that doesn't look like an obvious band aid fix. Happy to hear ideas, please!
