How can I fill this gap in my door?

My door has a gap from the trim and when I’m trying to lock it I have to move it back and forth until it’s in the right spot and the lock will turn. Is there any type of foam or rubber trimming I could put in there to block the gap from bugs and get it to automatically shut at the right spot? Hope that made sense. Thanks!
