Can you disable/mod out the shade mechanic?

I'm having a good time with the game so far but I'm so tired of the shade mechanic, i just want to explore and having to go back to a specific room everytime I die is really detracting from my enjoyment of the game. Is there any mod that removes this mechanic for the game? TY for your help :)
