Hello! My 8 year old beagle was "diagnosed" with lymphoma 16 days ago. I put the disease in quotations because we opt for no tests, but are treating with antibiotics and prednisone, 25mg of CBT oil 2/3 times a day to keep her calm, and
To make this short, she is declining fast. We have an in home euthanasia scheduled in 9 days, but I am working to get her into MSU Veterinary Hospital for a clear diagnosis. The ONLY symptoms are labored breathing, swollen lymph nodes, and slight mood change due to prednisone.
Her breathing is so labored that you are able to hear the fluid in her lungs, and she sounds like a lumberjack who is chopping down the Redwood trees.
I am reaching out to see if anyone can share an ideas that may help relieve her airway and allow her to breath more freely. She sleeps sitting up on a pillow when she can, and likes when the air is cool and low humidity.
More details may be needed to help. Let me know. Thank you.
