Been on optimum for about a year now at 1g speeds. When it came out of the box I was only maybe hitting 750 on a good day. I just bought my own router and modem, some high specs mind you, and now I consistently get between 850 to 950 down and about 50 up.

The only issue is that it's a pain in the butt trying to get it connected because most salesmen tell you that the one gig plan requires their hardware which is complete b*******.

Just call and make it known and it should work. There are some outages that I've never had anything major affect me.
