I figured that since the Hindu course is delayed until Wednesday I would go ahead and post mine. If you have not kept up with the course, you can find the outline here and the first post here.
This section is on Vodou (AKA Voodoo), which is the traditional and still dominant religion of Haiti. This post is intended to introduce you to the religion, how this faith is lived, and its relevance to understanding Haiti in general. If you have any questions about Vodou or Haiti I'm happy to discuss them in the comment section below. I've spent years attending Vodou ceremonies, meeting one on one with priests and priestesses, and doing my own scholarly research. Enjoy and happy learning!
