I am a woman who wants to wear antique menswear, most likely Edwardian, since while I have a great love of Regency dress, I probably wouldn't wear it daily. I am also totally blind and have never seen, so I doubt sewing my own clothing is an option, as I know nothing about the craft and couldn't follow a pattern. I am, therefore, seeking a shop that sells historically accurate reproduction clothing, or better still, authentic pieces. Most seem to cater to women's attire. The few that don't use materials that didn't exist in the time periods which they claim to represent, or ones of low quality. I also need something that, if not bespoke, is at least made-to-measure. Are any of you experienced tailors, or could you do alteration work if I found something genuine? What, on the whole, would the cost be for a three-piece suit? Thank you.
