Inspired by a question I saw earlier about a Zoroastrian-Christian fusion religion.

What if instead of being imprisoned by Shah Bahram and dying, the Persian prophet Mani was exiled from Sassanid territory and fled to Roman territory, followed by some of his believers from Persia, and (perhaps unrealistcally) that led to the spread in Manichaeism to the dominant religion of the Roman empire?
