During the American revolution, its common knowledge that the continental army obviously wasn't in a state that Washington would have preferred to take on England. He would have wanted a much bigger, more highly equipped Army to face off against the redcoats... but what if he had that Army?
A lot of the tactics that helped win certain battles for the continental army stemmed from the lack of numbers, so they had to get creative. Do you think that Washington would have use the bolstered numbers as a boon to their Hit and run tactics, or do you think the higher numbers would have made him want to line up for field battles similar to what the redcoats would do at times? What do you think the outcome of the war would have been if, say, Washington's army was the same size as the British army with the same equipment?
