What if back in 2014, shortly after Ukraine ousted their president and restored their constitution, the United States put nuclear weapons in Ukraine as a deterrent to Russian aggression. Threatening to launch a nuclear strike on Moscow, and other major population centers in Russia should Russia ever attack Ukraine. How does Russia respond to American nuclear weapons on it's border? Does Russia still risk invading Ukraine if it means a nuclear attack from the United States? How does the international community react to this tension between the United States and Russian Federation?
