The Siege of Antioch Ep 218 of History of Byzantium was a pure masterclass in history podcasting
Post Body

Just listened to this episode. Robin Pierson’s work just gets better and better as the podcast progresses. What a great damn episode.

For anyone who is interested in trying out the podcast History of Byzantium, I have a recommendation:

If you’ve never learned about the crusades, you could try a mini-series of sorts and begin at episode 205 “Introducing the Crusades” of the Byzantium pod and go to 218 “The Siege of Antioch”. You would simultaneously get an education on the first crusade and be properly introduced to Byz pod too.
