THE SWEDISH DEMANDS

King Christian VII, my brother in law,

I have crossed the Ocean to stand on the solid ground of Sjaelland. Kronborg and Helsingor have bowed before me. The Prussians and British have warned you against proceeding further against me. As I write this, I stand before the gates of Copenhagen, your feeble garrison hiding inside.

I have come to offer you a way out of this war – a peace that will save your dignity and that of the Danish people. I do not want a protracted war in Denmark and I know that you do not desire a protracted war in Sweden. Thus my peace demands are as follows:

1. Denmark will withdraw itself and its troops from Sweden, declaring itself neutral in the Russo-Swedish War
2. Sweden will immediately lift the siege of Copenhagen
3. Denmark will provide transport for Swedish troops from Copenhagen back to Sweden
4. Denmark will cede the former Swedish territories of the Swedish Gold Coast to Sweden
5. Denmark will cede the Danish Antilles to the colonial administration of the Swedish colony of Saint Barthelemey
6. Denmark will cede Tanquebar, Serampore, and the Nicobar Islands to Sweden
7. Denmark will cede the city of Helsingor and the castle of Kronborg to Sweden
8. Sweden will allow Denmark untaxed transport through the Sound Toll
9. Sweden will provide reparations to Denmark equal to the sum of 250,000 riksdaler
10. Sweden and Denmark will sign an official Treaty of Peace for our nations that will include free trade between our two countries and official peace for 100 years.
11. King Gustav III of Sweden and Queen Sophia Magdalena, your sister, will have a second wedding to solidify the relations between our nations.
12. Denmark will remain neutral in any conflict involving Oldenburg.
13. Denmark will release Holstein as a sovereign state, under the rulership of a local noble of German descent. Denmark will be given free trade access and military access through Holstein.

King Christian VII, I do hope these conditions are favorable to your personage, so that we may avoid a drawn-out war. I know that you do not wish for Great Britain or Prussia to intervene in the war. Do inform me if you accept, or if you would offer a counter proposal
