The Mburai of Yankari had fully established their control over the region, but as the saying goes "the grass is always greener on the other side". The Mburai held a great Ibhungai (council) of all the Myo and their warriors to decide on where they would go for their raids. One of the warrior-monks of Balok convinced the entire Ibhungai that the eastern lands were vulnerable to invasion. The people who lived in the east were peaceful pastorialists who had lived in relative harmony with the Mburai, while this would normally mean peaceful relations to the Mburai this showed weakness. Only the weak would try and be so explicitly peaceful. The Mburai raised a great host of Mburai, Tutuai, and even some slave warriors of the Yanai. The Mburai Oathsworn would lead the battles against the easterners, known as the Kutishai (the scared). The Mburai would be the generals and the elite shock force with the rest of the castes making up the bulk of the army.
The army marched into the pastorialist lands and were greeted without any opposition. There were no armies that tried to halt the advance. The eastern people seemed to be tribalistic and with no central governance. They had no lords nor chiefs, pastorialists and farmers. The first homestead, Kumatia, was attacked with ease. The walls were made of a flimsy wood and the villagers were 'pacifists' and they let their people be enslaved. The second area of people was in a large nomadic camp known as Gaosso. The people of Gaosso were very similar to the Kumatia. However, after burning the camp and enslaving almost everyone, they found that their shrines only showed one god, a nameless god without any idol. Clearly a god without an idol was one of weakness, some invisible god that did not even wish to help it's worshippers. The villagers offered up tribute and sacrifices to the army of the Mburai, hoping it would give them mercy. It did not, the entire village was enslaved and their shrines destroyed.
The lands were quickly taken and the enslaved Kutishai were forced into labour camps where they would build new villages on their old pastorial land. Almost all the new settlements built were built by the enslaved peoples that once lived there. The new lands were named Jasiri, an insult to the Kutishai as they are known as 'the scared' and now they live in a land known as 'the brave'.
