Clans of Phrygia
Post Body

Clan Gordias : The greatest of the Phrygian clans, composed of Phrygians of an ancient stock. All the Kings of the Hypsianistarians have come from this clan.

Clan Khrobatoi : The foremost amongst all the Khrobatian clans. The Khrobatians are a slavic nomadic culture, as proficient in the arts of the steppe as the Gordians.

Clan Aetides : The founders of this clan were Trapezuntine men who set out to make a new life for themselves in Transkaukasia, only to be coerced into assimilating into the Phrygian way of life.

Clan Leonides : This clan was also founded by Byzantine men, this time from the city of Hierosolyma. They found themselves in the position of becoming a steppe horde in a similar fashion to the clan Aetides.

The Circle Clan : This clan swears fanatical loyalty to the Atreid dynasty and the Megaran race. They are not a true clan, but rather an underground organisation inflitrating every level of Phrygian society.

The Order of the Holy Trinity : Similarly, this is not a clan but a religious order, dedicated to defending the Heliotropist faith.

Clan Ludvalassides : This clan was founded long ago by men from the city of Ludvalassa.

Clan Amopolites : This clan was founded long ago by men from the city of Amopolis.

The Ludvalassides and the Amopolites engage in constant bickering. The Ludvalassides persuaded Philippos Gordias to raid Amopolis, moving its library to Elephantinê.

Clan Rhôs : This ancient Tsahgar clan once ruled over most of the current Phrygian domain and they have never forgotten it.

Clan Rhythenides : The ancient Tsahgar rivals of Clan Rhôs have not forgotten the humiliation they underwent at the hands of the combined Hellenic, Byzantine, and Rhôs forces.

Several other minor clans populate the steppe, mostly of Hellenic, Tsahgar, or Khrobatian extraction.
