An envoy from the Alááfin to Ataram
Post Body

News from the Sonki, the west, spread through the merchants who met in Nijaay, Uwára and even dealt with the kingdoms of the Gress since they had guaranteed the safety of the Obibo merchants. Carrying not only their profits and purchased goods back with them from the west, the news of the Ataram in Kanbida and around the lands of where short-lived Gídíá had been, which received not an enormous amount of attention since it was distant, but not so far as to be considered exotic. The news nevertheless made it to the Alááfin and she sent a síricheche or envoy to confirm the news.

The envoy, who went by the name of Bòsekpí, accompanied or was accompanied by a large caravan, because both síricheche and Obibo caravans had a reputation that usually scared off cheap brigands. The gold and silk of the Alááfin was at risk if a local ruler failed to protect the esteemed merchants, so also accompanied them were a number of mtataza of Kaya. Though the word of God had once been denied by the Oba of Gídía, they hoped these Ataram were like their Gress cousins and would not allow the mtataza to preach in peace.

The Obibo name for the Kingdom of Ataram would be the Oba-Ifà fa Ataràmè and their first Oba would enter the records as Oba Salá fa Amùrásá.
