Balkh, the Bab, and Baha’u’llah
Post Body

So please read the bottom of this post, if nothing else. It’s important.

It began with a story to his children. A story of the creation of the world, passed down to him from somewhere unknown.

Hashim, title unknown, told this story to others in his village, Balkh, halfway between Deh Davuya and the mighty Taftan Volcano.

Gradually, his story became more refined. When he was telling it to whoever wished to listen, he spoke with a more serious tone.

More parts of the story were added on. As people began believing he himself believed the stories, he started losing everything.

People came from miles away just to laugh at the newest spectacle to arise from the village.

Some of these people were not there to merely laugh. They called his speeches heresy, a danger to the Islamic faith, and wished to see him perish.

One night, two of these people broke into his home, stabbed him multiple times in the face, and left him for dead.

Miraculously, he survived. However, nobody would listen to his talks anymore. The scars which were left over from the attack were too hideous to be anywhere near.

He put on a veil to cover the wounds, and set off to anywhere, hoping to find a place to spread his word.

In the slums of Deh Davuya, Al-Muqanna- the veiled one, as he began to be called- found what he was looking for.

Nobody knew his real name. Everyone called him the Bab, father. He was intelligent, for someone who had never recieved schooling.

He was a servent for the first thirty years of his life. Not a Eunuch, but one level below.

There, he spent all of his free time poring through books at Deh Davuya’s many universities, until he was forcefully removed from Deh Davuya’s palace, forever.

He lived a terrible life in the slums, and when al-Muqanna arrived to preach his tales, he quickly felt a desire to spread the word as well.

Al-Muqanna would die the next year, and the Bab just months later.

However, the Bab’s young son, Baha’u’llah, would finally put Al-Muqanna’s word in the spotlight.

An incredible orator, Baha’u’llah quickly spread his word throughout Deh Davuya’s poor.

He travelled to Lumetroj and Bonega, the last holdovers of the broken religion of Esperantoj, and completely changed the religious spectrum in the cities.

The Emirs of Deh Davuya and Lumetroj and the Amir of Bonega all denounced the religion, calling for the capture of Baha’u’llah and his growing number of followers.

The Emirs called for his death, the Amir for simple exile.

So Baha’u’llah was lucky he was in the heart of Bonega when nearly a hundred soldiers surrounded him and took him prisoner.

The Bonegans sent him to the Bengal Empire, in hopes of him never again returning to disrupt the common man’s peace.

He would never again return to Bonega. However, he broke free from his prison after just three weeks, and would attempt to spread his word there once again.

So, here’s the part I’d like y’all to read, if you can.

Here’s the basics of the religion:

  • All of the 5 major religions are reincarnations of the same diety. Krishna, Buddha, Yahweh, God, Allah, all the same person. However, they all represent a different view the thing had at the time of the religion’s founding.
  • This version of the religion is Sikhism. Sikhism is the final, correct word of this diety. All of the beliefs of Sikhism are present in this religion, apart from anything that contradicts the above point.
  • Because it was the most recent religion, and most recent view of this diety, Islam is the ‘next-most-correct’ religion, followed by Christianity and then Buddhism. Hinduism and Judaism are basically all wrong. Followers of this religion have a better view of Muslims and Christians than Jews and Hindus.
  • The religion so far is present in the Gulf of Oman, Ganges delta, and the city of Deh Davuya. It isn’t even close to the majority religion in any of those places.
  • Al-Muqanna, the Bab, and Baha’u’llah are the prophets of this religion, though are not dieties and are not diefied in any way.
  • I am going to be calling this religion “Baha’i” from now on. However, since its second core belief is Sikhism, I might switch to calling it Sikhism if that’s easier to understand.
  • I will be foremost RPing this religion’s spread, while running a small emirate in the background (which I will be expanding into shortly).
  • There is no central Baha'i authority in the west, but Baha'u'llah fills this gap in the east.
