What if George Washington has been killed during the American Revolution?

Post Body

George Washington was without a doubt one of the most valuable leaders of the revolution, and a major historical icon for the US. What if he had been killed in battle during the Revolution? More specifically, would it matter? Would it’s timing matter? What if he died in the siege of Boston, early in the war? Or what if he had been killed in Yorktown near the end of the war? Would a death in battle or assassination have more impact?
