Hey y'all! I'm a big fan of historical fiction but have been too wary of historical romance because of some of the books I've tried before. I'm looking for recommendations along the lines of Jane Austen, the Brontë sisters and movies like Emma(2020) and Brooklyn(the one with Saoirse Ronan). Please point me in the direction of books you enjoyed with wonderful writing and great plot too. Thanks everyone!

Quick edit: Also looking for any historical fiction from Ancient Greece, Egypt or something with a magical theme too!
