Never mind the millions who were killed with conventional bombs, nope, two bombs were evil. But that's why they haven't been used in warfare since. And let's remember that it was Truman who ordered the bombings. And he's dead. So we really can't attack the reasoning of those who aren't around anymore to defend themselves.

Those two were different. They were already psychopaths. And soldiers on both sides certainly weren't angels, but a weapon existed to end the war years earlier than an invasion of Japan. Horrific? Yes. But suppose we had demonstrated the bomb off the coast or wiped out an island and the Japanese called our bluff. A third bomb wouldn't have been ready until September. And again, who takes blame for the millions killed with conventional bombs and firebombs over the course of six years of unrestricted war?
