Hey guys I'm currently building a set of training slides for our Mohs lab as I'm likely training a larger number of techs this year instead of one at a time as previously. I would like to get some unstained sections mounted for training purposes as it is very important new techs can identify unstained epi and conjunctiva while cutting to make sure they have all the details they need for the surgeons.
Now. I can't seem to get the slides to retain the detail they have immediately after cutting. Any mountant or processing at all without staining renders them basically invisible except for the marking dye on the tips.
Any idea how I can mount these for longevity for training whilst retaining detail that can be visible under the microscope. Or am I just out of luck and need to do fresh cuts to show my techs.
