After much debate, she caved in and joined... and loved it! We'll be back soon, Hippie. Hard to find people our age, maybe one of these days.

I've been before and loved it, and we finally decided to go together and had an amazing time. The only part that sucks is getting down to the water with 20 pounds of shit in your hands, on uneven rock. Oh, and very little shade.
The only bad part about Hippie Hollow is that it brings people who come to stare and make you feel uncomfortable. I've never cared about weird guys in turbans fully-clothed staring at me naked, but my girlfriend did and some of them even approached to say hi. There's this unhidden rule nobody ever talks about which is "if you're fully clothed the entire time, get out of the area of people naked (or the park tbh), ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE STARING." Austin has so many beautiful lakes you can be at fully clothed. Do it there.
The ability to have a park available that allows people to be themselves, not bound by clothing, simply their body, is beyond perfect. The countless glass shards and weird gaukers ruin this beautiful half mile strip in Texas where we can be ourselves.
