Just get in the water when you get hot. No biggie.
It drops off very quickly. Just look at how steep the shoreline is above the waterline. Thatâs what it does below the waterline as well. Iâm 6â4â and I take 3-4 good steps and it is over my head.
The bottom is also uneven and has submerged tree stumps and boulders. And there are waves from passing boats.
Yâall, seriouslyâŚdonât fuck around with this. Things go bad really quickly.
If you canât swim, put a life jacket on before you go in the water. Not a float, pool noodle, yoga mat, or anything like that because it is too easy to get knocked off by waves and then youâre fucked.
I lived lakefront growing up and we had to watch them pull dead people out of the lake 2-3 times a year. I meanâŚpeople drown in backyard swimming pools all the time and a swimming pool doesnât have waves or current and has a predictable bottom.
Just wear a life jacket.
Definitely make frequent trips to the water and bring LOTS of drinking water plus shade and you'll be fine

It drops off fast. Right now it is probably 70' deep at the buoys.
I would wear a life jacket if you can't swim.
