Post Body

(20M) I bit of bullet and had to come check it out, today was the perfect day! Lots of people out, all ages. I had never been before so I went to the second stairs and found some trees and got undressed, and shortly after a man came from a tent and introduced himself. He was coming in from baton rouge, and had been there since 9am (I got there around 4pm), and he helped me navigate down to the water. To everybody who has said in this subreddit that you'll get hard or "wHat dO I dO if I gEt hArd?" like a 6th grader in art class, it's nothing like that, unless you can boast a giant erection in front of 50 men, don't worry about getting hard.

Also, if you feel that people are watching you, there's something so freeing about being there that you almost instantly feel comfortable being naked. I didn't realize that until I finally got there, and I felt like I could just be myself in my own skin, which is exactly what I feel the park is meant to fulfill.

The water is great, the view is astonishing, but it's covered in sea weed. Be prepared to throw sea weed that keeps getting wrapped into you.

As somebody who looks a little bit different than a majority of the age ranges that I've seen around me, people will look, people will stare, and there's something really empowering about that. If you're in your early twenties, and you want some more confidence in your body, walk out on a busy day, go alone, take nothing and just be there naked. I got so much from it, as a straight male. And everybody that you talk to is nothing but kind, and you can have 45 minute conversations floating in the water with them never even knowing the person.
