Assuming you haven't already seen it, the FAQ is a good place to start
That covers a lot of the basics and should highlight big differences from places like Haulover. For example, very rock beach, decent hike, limited facilities, etc.
Things to highlight now that might not be in the FAQ is that the lake level is low enough that the hike from the trail to water is a lot more than it has been... bring shoes appropriate for that! Also the zebra mussels are not as bad as they were the past few years. The risk of getting cut or injured though is still there -- bring shoes you can wear in the water.
It ain’t Haulover. We’re jealous of y’all.
No food trucks or showers. There are a couple of bathrooms.
Bring water shoes. You’ll be climbing down limestone boulders/cliffs to get to the water. In the water, we have zebra mussels which will slice up your feet. So..keep the water shoes on.
Bring something to drink. No glass. If you bring booze. The label can’t be visible.
A yoga mat or something to sit on is nice.
