I'm from Germany and I'm planning to visit in November but I've never been there in the winter. Want a peaceful holiday with my partner. We can't go earlier. I was thinking of going to Manali. I've been there before (alone) 6 years ago, but in the summer.
In November: Will cafes / shops open ? Is the cold bearable? Are there heaters in the guesthouses / hostels? Is it possible to go on Rohtang Pass? I know it's a touristy place but we want to avoid crowsds of tourists, especially loud/drunk tourists. Peaceful, high and quite is better :) We are both spiritual / meditative and are looking for that kind of experience.
Is Old Manali a good choice or do you have better suggestions?
