I recently started a job that uses Hilton hotels, booked and paid for directly by my organization, when we travel for business. I have stayed 3 times so far and at check in requested that my Hilton honors number be added. They did so and the stay showed up in my app, was able to use the digital key, app check out, etc. so I thought all was fine. And after my first stay, it was - I got points based on the cost of the room, as expected, even though I wasn’t personally paying for it.
However, on my next 2 trips, I never got any points. It did count towards my number of nights, though. I have contacted customer service twice and they told me both times that it was because I didn’t pay for the room myself, but a) that did not seem to matter the first time and b) I asked a couple of my coworkers and they did receive points.
Does anyone have any idea what could be going on here??? Thanks so much!
Edit - I just double checked and on my most recent stay, I did actually receive 2,000 bonus points because I had registered for a promotion for 2,000 points on every stay, but still no base points. Even weirder.
Edit #2 - in case it matters, I also had a stay in between my 2nd and 3rd work trip that I booked and paid for myself, and earned points as normal.
