What's the most over-hyped camping gear in your opinion?

For me it's the Jet Boil. I've hiked with multiple people for many different trips and temps ranging from summer to -30. My amazon 20 dollar stove still does the trick. Not trying to knock anyone using it but lets see any cost effective shortcuts you may have for people getting into the hobby
